Prima parte
Al termine del filmato introduttivo, avvicinatevi
all'automobile e cliccate sul finestrino del lato
passeggero, quindi aggiungetelo al fascicolo del caso.
Restate su questo lato del macchina e cliccate sullo
sportello per entrare, quindi zoomate sulla chiave
inserita nel motorino d'avviamento bene, prendetela ed
aggiungetela al fascicolo.
Zoomate ora sul vano portaoggetti e apritelo servendovi
della chiave appena raccolta: dovete necessariamente
prendere il denaro! Per vedere cosa altro potete trovare
per proseguire nella vostra indagine, zoomate ancora nel
vano portaoggetti e prendete il tesserino della vittima.
Uscite dall'auto dal lato passeggero, quindi interrogate
il portiere e fategli le seguenti domande.
“When did you discover the body?”
“If you're the doorman here, why were you coming from
inside the building?”
“Did you hear a gunshot while you were upstairs?”
“Did you notice anybody unusual outside the building?”
“Have you ever seen the victim around here before?”
“Who lives in apartment 4-B?”
“Have you seen Linda Keller today?”
Premete la barra spaziatrice e trascinate il finestrino
dell'auto tra gli elementi da mandare al laboratorio.
Ora selezionate la mappa e recatevi da Linda Keller,
fatele le seguenti domande.
“Do you know a William Ramos?”
“Were you expecting Ramos to come by your apartment?”
“What did you do for Mr. Ramos?”
“How long have you worked for Dr. Ramos?”
“How much did Ramos owe you?”
“Did you ever go to Ramos' home or office?”
“Were you waiting for Ramos here all evening?”
“How did the doorman miss you entering the building?”
Al termine dell'interrogatorio aggiungete Linda Keller
al fascicolo.
Selezionate la mappa e andate nell'appartamento della
vittima, parlate con la moglie di Ramos e rivolgetele le
seguenti domande.
“When was the last time you spoke to your husband?”
“Where did your husband work?”
“Did your husband work late often?”
“Who would know more about his stress at work?”
“Were you aware your husband was in Midtown carrying
five thousand dollars in cash?”
“If you don't mind my asking, how were things between

Aggiungete Celia Ramon al fascicolo. Selezionate la
mappa e recatevi da Diana Quinn, quindi fatele le
seguenti domande.
“Did you work closely with Ramos?”
“Was your research with Dr. Ramos a part of some kind of
secret project?”
“Is it possible somebody else might have resented his
idiosyncrasies?”
“Why was Dr. Ramos in Midtown yesterday with five
thousand dollars?”

Quando avrete posto tutte le domande, andate da Donald
Kent e parlategli.
“When was the last time you saw Dr. Ramos?”
“How was progress at Avery Labs?”
“Can you tell us anything about the doctor's personal
life?”
“Is it possible Ramos' late night last night could have
been about the affair he was having?”
“Which hotel was he staying at?”, aggiungetelo al
fascicolo
Al termine del dialogo recatevi al laboratorio criminale
e, dopo aver ascoltato Kathleen McDonnell, andate a
destra e zoomate sulla scrivania: bene, leggete e il
rapporto dell'autopsia ed aggiungetelo al fascicolo del
caso. Prendete i frammenti del proiettile, e la chiave
dell' hotel, quindi selezionate la mappa e recatevi al
J. Robbie Hotel. Prendete la chiave dal vostro
inventario, entrate nella stanza e zoomate sul tavolo
rotondo.
Esaminate l'invito accanto al secchiello del ghiaccio e
prendete nota del numero in fondo alla pagina, quindi
voltatevi e zoomate sul bicchiere poggiato sul comodino.
Una volta che lo avrete aggiunto al fascicolo del caso,
fatelo analizzare dal laboratorio, quindi dirigetevi
verso l'armadio e zoomate sulla cassaforte.
Non preoccupatevi, la combinazione non è difficile da
individuare! Sarà sufficiente che inseriate il numero
scritto sull'invito (2439): bene, premete sul tasto
enter e aggiungete l'assegno al fascicolo, quindi
trascinatelo nella cartella per le analisi del
laboratorio. Selezionate la mappa e andate da Philip
Wright fategli le seguenti domande
“When was the last time you talked to Dr. Ramos?”
“Did Dr. Ramos ever talk about pressures at work?”
“Why was Ramos keeping his project a secret?”
“Did Ramos give you any details about this breakthrough
project?”
“Why was Ramos going behind Kent's back to seek
investors?”
“Was Ramos involved with anyone besides his wife?”
Al termine del dialogo aggiungetelo al fascicolo e
andate da Martin Tanner, quindi interrogatelo.
“What was your relationship with the victim”
“How did you choose Ramos as an investment?”
“Isn't $20,000 a lot of money to dabble with?”
“Was Dr. Ramos soliciting investments from others?”
Aggiungete anche Martin Tanner al fascicolo, e fatelo
sorvegliare, cliccando sulla apposita linguetta.
Recatevi al laboratorio criminale e parlate con Paul Kim
dei risultati delle analisi fatte sul bicchiere e
l'assegno trovati in albergo e sul finestrino dell'auto
della vittima, quindi leggete i risultati ed
aggiungeteli al fascicolo. Andate da Diana Quinn e
rivolgetele le seguenti domande.
“Were you in Dr. Ramos' hotel room the night he was
murdered?”
Selezionate il bicchiere che si trova nel vostro
inventario, poi fate alla donna le seguenti domande.
“How long has the affair been going on?”
“Did Dr. Ramos know his wife suspected him of cheating?”
“Did you make demands on Dr. Ramos?”
“Did you have any interest in cashing in on Dr. Ramos'
secret project?”
Aggiungete le sue risposte al fascicolo.
Tornate nell'appartamento della vittima.
“Why did you lie to us about your husband's affair?”
“Were you angry enough to divorce your husband?”
“With the insurance payout, isn't your husband worth
more to you now that he's dead?”
Selezionate il fascicolo del caso e cliccate sulla
linguette gialla, trascinate la foto di Donald Kent,
Philip Wright, Celia Ramos, Martin Tanner, Linda Keller,
cliccate sulla scritta submit” e otterrete un mandato di
perquisizione per il laboratorio nel quale lavorava la
vittima. Vi ritroverete automaticamente sul posto,
zoomate sulla macchina trita-documenti.
Il vostro compito sarà quello di ricomporre il foglio
come mostrato nell'immagine, potete capovolgere e
spostare le strisce di carta (foto 1) e (foto 2), il
risultato finale è quello della seguente immagine (foto
3). Aggiungete il biglietto al fascicolo e fatelo
analizzare dal laboratorio, quindi osservate la
scrivania della vittima e zoomate sul suo portatile.
Osservate lo schermo ed aggiungetelo al fascicolo,
quindi fatelo analizzare dall'ufficio ricerche del
distretto.
Selezionate la mappa e andate al distretto, parlate con
Scott Donovan dei risultati sulle ricerche fatte su
Martin Tanner e, dopo aver letto il rapporto,
aggiungetelo al fascicolo. Andate al laboratorio
criminale, leggete e raccogliete i risultati delle
analisi fatte sul biglietto anonimo, quindi andate a
casa di Martin Tanner.
“What did Ramos have that you wanted back?”
“Why the forceful tone of the note?”
“How could you expect to get any money back once you'd
invested it?”
“Why was there such a rush to get your money back?”
“Where was your husband the night Dr. Ramos was killed?”
Al termine del dialogo selezionate la mappa e andate da
Shirley Cho e parlategli.
“Did you work as an accountant for Avery Labs?”
“Why did you get fired exactly?”
“Do you know anything about an investment being refunded
to a Martin and Cindy Tanner?”
“Do you know anything about Linda Keller?”
“Was there any documentation on what Keller was doing
for Dr. Ramos?”
Al termine della discussione Shirley vi consegnerà la
chiave della scrivania del Dottor Ramos, prendetela e
dalla mappa selezionate la locazione Avery lab.
Avvicinatevi alla scrivania del dottor Ramos ed aprite
il cassetto con la chiave che vi ha dato Shirley,
prendete il documento e tornate a parlare con Linda
Keller.
“What can you tell us about the research project Ramos
was working on?”
“Why not tell us about this before?”
“How much were you getting paid?”
“When was the experiment supposed to start?”
“If you haven't been paid, how are you making ends
meet?”
Al termine del dialogo, selezionate il fascicolo del
caso e cliccando sulla linguetta gialla, fate
sorvegliare Linda Keller. Tornate al distretto e entrate
nell'ufficio di Scott Donovan parlate del risultato
delle ricerche fatte sul portatile della vittima. Dovete
riuscire a decodificare l'email: l'unico modo che avete
per riuscire nel vostro intento è quello di digitare il
testo sulla tastiera del vostro PC (foto 4) e (foto 5).
Il testo finale dell'email dovrà essere il segunete
(foto 6). Aggiungete l'email al fascicolo, poi andate a
parlare con Donald Kent.
“How long has Avery Labs been working on cloning human
beings?”
“Did you know Ramos was taking this project to outside
investors?”
“How close was the cloning project to completion?”
“Is it possible that Dr. Ramos completed successful
cloning tests and you didn't need him any more?”
“Was Dr. Ramos ready to start human testing with the
cloning project?”
Al termine del dialogo andate al distretto ed entrate
nell'ufficio di Mark Rawlins, leggete il rapporto su
Linda Keller e prendetelo. Vi occorre un mandato per
perquisire l'appartamento di Linda Keller, ora cliccate
sulla linguetta gialla e trascinate i seguenti elementi:
Linda Keller, il documento che avete trovato
nell'ufficio della vittima, e il rapporto di Mark
Rawlins, quindi cliccate sulla scritta “submit”.
Vi ritroverete automaticamente nell'appartamento della
vittima, prendete il CD che si trova sul tavolino con la
lampada, zoomate sullo scatolone a destra e prendete il
volantino sito lì sopra. Fate analizzare il CD dal
laboratorio e fate eseguire delle ricerche sul
volantino. Quando i risultati saranno pronti, andate al
laboratorio criminale, leggete i risultati degli esami
fatti sul CD e prendeteli.
Tornate al distretto ed entrate nell'ufficio di Scotto
Donovan, leggete i risultati delle analisi fatte sul
volantino e raccoglieteli. Recatevi nell'appartamento di
Linda Keller (Brenda Lyons) ed interrogatela.
“Why are you in such a hurry to leave town?”
Selezionate dal vostro inventario il rapporto degli
esami fatti sul volantino che avete trovato nel suo
appartamento.
“Did you target Dr. Ramos' cloning project for some kind
of sabotage?”
“Would you say the mission was successful?”
“How do you expect us to believe you had nothing to do
with Dr. Ramos' murder?”
“Why would Martin Tanner call you and threaten you?”
Al termine dell'interrogatorio Linda/Brenda vi darà la
cassetta del segreteria telefonica, prendetela. Andate a
parlare con Martin Tanner, quindi selezionate il
registratore e fategli le seguenti domande.
“How do you know Linda Keller?”
“Why did you threaten Keller?”
“Did you threaten Dr. Ramos to get him to return your
investment money?”
“Were you in Linda Keller's neighborhood the night of
the murder?”
“What time did you get to work on the night of the
murder?”
Andate ora a parlare con Donny Morales.
“What does Martin Tanner do for you?”
“During the night of the murder, what time did Tanner
arrive for work?”
“Did Tanner seem upset or distracted?”
“Notice anything else unusual that night?”
“Does Tanner have a work station?”
Aggiungete Donny Morales al fascicolo, al termine della
conversazione l'uomo si avvicinerà e aprirà l'armadietto
di Martin Tanner: bene, esaminatelo e prendete gli
stivali da lavoro, quindi osservate l'anta aperta e
prendete la fotografia. Mandate gli stivali e la foto al
laboratorio criminale e, quando i risultati saranno
pronti, andate al laboratorio, leggeteli e prendeteli.
A questo punto vi occorre un mandato per perquisire
l'appartamento di Martin Tanner. Cliccate sull'apposita
linguetta gialla e trascinate i seguenti oggetti: la
foto di Martin Tanner, il biglietto anonimo, il rapporto
delle analisi fatte sul biglietto, il risultato delle
analisi fatte sull'assegno, gli stivali da lavoro di
Tanner e il referto delle analisi fatte sugli stivali. A
questo punto cliccate sulla scritta “submit” e vi
ritroverete automaticamente nel suo appartamento.
Dirigetevi in cucina e prendete il documento
dell'American Motors. E' giunto il momento di ottenere
un mandato d'arresto, cliccate sull'apposita linguetta e
trascinate i seguenti oggetti: Martin Tanner, il
biglietto anonimo, il risultato delle analisi fatte sul
biglietto, gli esiti delle analisi fatte sull'assegno,
gli stivali da lavoro di Tanner, il rapporto delle
analisi fatte sugli stivali, il risultato del
laboratorio delle analisi eseguite sul finestrino
dell'auto della vittima, ed infine il referto delle
analisi fatte sulla fotografia che avete preso
dall'armadietto di Tanner, cliccate sulla scritta
“submit”. Gustatevi ora il filmato che conclude la prima
parte del gioco.

Seconda parte
Per prima cosa richiedete un esame psichiatrico su
Martin Tanner e trascinate la sua foto nell'apposita
pagina. Mettete sotto sorveglianza Diana Quinn e fate
eseguire delle ricerche sul documento che avete trovato
nell'appartamento di Tanner. Quando riceverete un
messaggio sul cellulare andate al distretto e parlate
con Scott Donovan, quindi leggete il rapporto sulle
ricerche fatte sul documento e prendetelo.
Ora recatevi nell'ufficio psichiatrico e dopo aver letto
il referto della psichiatra, aggiungete il rapporto al
fascicolo del caso, quindi andate a parlare con il
Dottor Richard Blythe.
”Did you treat the Tanners' son after he was injured in
an accident?”
“What was Jamie's prognosis?”
“What did you do for Jamie?”
“What did you recommend the Tanners do?”
“Did Jamie die before Mr. Tanner was able to contact Dr.
Ramos?
Aggiungete le risposte del medico al fascicolo. Dopo il
breve filmato, controllate il messaggio che Scotto
Donovan vi ha mandato.
Recatevi da Josh Berman e rivolgetegli le seguenti
domande.
“Why would Martin and Cindy Tanner have an American
Motors financial report?”
Selezionate dal vostro inventario il rapporto delle
ricerche fatte sul documento trovato nell'appartamento
di Tanner e continuate con il dialogo.
“What were the terms of the settlement?”

E' giunto il momento di prepararsi per il processo.
Cliccate sulla linguetta con la scritta “subpoena”dal
fascicolo del caso e scegliete i seguenti testimoni:
Brenda Lyons, Donny Morales, Dottor Richard Blythe e
Shirley Cho. Trascinate i seguenti oggetti da portare in
tribunale come prova: il biglietto anonimo e i risultati
delle ricerche fatte su quest'ultimo, l'assegno e i
risultati delle ricerche fatte sull'assegno, il rapporto
dell'autopsia, i frammenti di proiettile, il nastro
della segreteria telefonica, i risultati delle analisi
del laboratorio eseguite sul finestrino dell'automobile,
le analisi del laboratorio fatte sulla fotografia e, per
finire, il rapporto della ricerche fatte su Martin
Tanner. A questo punto cliccate sulla scritta “Go to
Trial” e scegliete dalla lista dei testimoni da
interrogare Brenda Lyons.
“Ms. Lyons, can you identify this voice?”
A questo punto la difesa si opporrà, la risposta che
dovrete scegliere a questo punto è la seguente.

Di fronte a questa risposta il giudice vi permetterà di
proseguire: bene, ponete a Brenda Lyons nuova domanda:

Ora sarà Duncan a interrogare Brenda, voi dovrete
obiettare ad un paio di domande, per potervi opporre

Scegliete Paul Kim dalla lista dei testimoni, vi
appariranno alcuni argomenti da scegliere, cliccate
sull' argomento “impronte digitali trovate sul
finestrino e sulla fotografia”, quindi ponete la
seguente domanda:

Ora scegliete il secondo argomento a vostra disposizione

documento, prendetelo e aggiungete la dottoressa al
fascicolo del caso. Al termine del filmato tornate a
parlare con Donny Morales.

Andate ora a parlare con Burt Lasky e agite come da noi
consigliato.

Dopo aver parlato con l'uomo date un'occhiata in giro,
prendete le grosse tenaglie che si trovano vicino al
frigorifero bianco, quindi zoomate e prendete il piede
di porco appoggiato alla macchina colorata. Avvicinatevi
al furgone con la scritta “Airways Delivery”, aprite il
retro del furgone servendovi del piede di porco che

Quando Duncan si opporrà a quest'ultima domanda,
scegliete come risposta da dare al giudice quella
riportata qui di seguito.
“This document should be admitted as an exception to the
hearsay rule since it's an official business record.”
Continuate ad interrogare Rita Miller come segue.
“Could you explain the signature on the line below
that?”

Quando Duncan interrogherà Rita Miller opponetevi alla
